| Patriot Day / Freedom Walk | Saturday, September 11 9:30 am |
Peachtree City will remember the lives of nearly 3,000 people killed on September 11, 2001, on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The event will be held at Atlanta Regional Airport - Falcon Field at 9:30 a.m. with the "America Supports You Freedom Walk," followed at 10 a.m. with a formal program. The public is invited to participate in the walk, which is less than one mile and all on airport grounds. The formal program will be held at the Veterans Memorial at Falcon Field (Rain Location - Commemorative Air Force hangar on Echo Court).

Children ages 5-9 and their parents are invited to make summer reading more fun with a Parent/Child Book Club. The Club meets on the first Monday of each month in June, July and August at 7pm. This program is free and open to the public. Children will share with the group the themed book they have read and participate in games related to that genre, eat snacks, and have fun.June - Mystery book, read a mystery book, then come and learn about mysteries & play games. Snacks provided / July - Circus books, read a book about the circus, then come and play circus games, eat cotton candy, and more fun. August theme - TBA.

The Summit Presbyterian Church is offering a FREE TUTORING PROGRAM. The tutors are certified teachers, either presently teaching in the Fayette system, or recently retired. There are no restrictions or income guidelines. The tutoring is held at the church each Wednesday evening. The pastor and/or church members will always be present as will other students and tutors. Please register to ensure there is a tutor available for each child. SUBJECT AREAS - ELEMENTARY THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL TUTORING IN: Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, CRCT, and Help with General Homework.
