Park Pass Loan ProgramOngoing

Here's a great tip for FREE family Fun! If you are planning to visit a Georgia State Park or an Historic Site in Georgia, you can borrow a "ParkPass" from your local library. The pass is good for free parking or admission at any of the 63 parks and historic sites statewide for up to five days. You must be a Georgia resident with a valid library card to obtain the ParkPass. Supplies are limited so plan early and check with your library for availability.

The R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve the literacy skills of children. If your child struggles with reading this may be for you. It is designed to boost the self-esteem of new readers. Open to children in Grades K-5th. The library offers six 20 minute slots. Parents must call in advance to reserve a time for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library.
